Pakistan's online home for books · Since 2026

About BooksShore

BooksShore.com is a leading online books platform for Pakistan. It is one place where readers find their next favourite book, where students, parents and teachers find the educational books they need, where bookshops across the country reach customers far beyond their own street, and where readers share what they love about books on our blog and on their own Reading Shore, and with each other on Waves. It's also a place to spend time together: play live games with family, chat with fellow readers, vote in polls, send a greeting card for Eid, recommend the cafes, food and things you love on Shore Finds, scroll through facts, mysteries and the world's strangest places on Shore Discover, and keep your family's special days on a private Memory Shore wall.

Our story

BooksShore started in 2026 with a simple idea: finding the right book in Pakistan shouldn't mean visiting shop after shop, from Urdu Bazaar to the mall. Whether it's the next novel on your list, a classic you've always meant to read, or the textbook your class needs this term, we wanted one trusted place to search, compare and order it, delivered to your door.

We have grown from an online bookstore into a nationwide books marketplace. BooksShore sells from its own catalogue, registered bookshops sell their stock through us, and readers pass on the books they've finished with. Every good book gets a second life, and every reader gets a better price.

Our mission

To make every book easy to find and affordable in Pakistan, to bring important educational books together in one place, and to help the country's bookshops grow online.

One platform, three ways to take part

Customers

Readers, students and families who buy books, and who can also sell the books they've finished with.

Book sellers

Bookshops, publishers and book businesses registered with BooksShore to sell to customers all over Pakistan. They manage listings, stock, orders and promotions from one account.

Sales agents

BooksShore's appointed agents bring bookshops onto the platform. A new book seller enters their agent's User ID when registering, and the agent earns commission on that seller's subscription. With the member's permission, an agent can also manage their listings, orders and promotions for them, without ever sharing a password.

Every account has its own User ID, shown in the account menu. Quote it when you contact support, and share it if you are a sales agent.

What you'll find here

Every genre

Fiction, non-fiction, Urdu and English literature, children's books, religion, technology, business and more, across dozens of categories.

Educational books

Textbooks, reference books and study guides for school, college, university and professional exams, gathered in one place.

Not sure about a book? Open Why read this? on its page for its genre, highlights, who it's perfect for and how long it takes to read, gathered from around the web.

Pay your way

Pay online, or in cash on delivery or at self pickup, and follow each order from placed to delivered.

Never miss a book

Set a book alert and hear when the book you want is listed, or watch a book and hear when its price drops. Alerts can come to your phone too, and you can install BooksShore like an app.

Textbook Exchange

Give away, swap or sell the textbooks you've finished with, and find the ones you need, from students and parents in your city on the Textbook Exchange.

Selling on BooksShore

Customers and book sellers list books in minutes, one at a time or hundreds at once from an Excel sheet, as printed copies or as PDF books that buyers download. Every new account starts with a free trial. After that, a subscription package keeps listing open. Sellers manage their stock, receive and fulfil orders, and run their own sales, bundles and Free to Download offers from My Activity.

A Premium membership lets sellers feature their books, so they're shown first in the catalogue and on the home page with a โ˜… Featured badge.

Bookshops can register themselves by choosing Book seller on the sign-up form. If one of our sales agents introduced you, enter the agent's User ID so they are credited.

The BooksShore blog

BooksShore is more than a shop. On the blog you'll find book reviews, reading recommendations, author stories, study tips and news from the world of books, sorted into topics and writers, and searchable by title or tag.

Our team writes as BooksShore, and members can write too: draft a post in My Blog Posts, add pictures, a category and tags, and send it for approval. Once our team approves it, it appears on the blog under your name. Every reader who signs in can rate posts and leave a comment.

Members also pick their Readers' Top 3: their three all-time favourite posts, in order. Together they make the Readers' Favourites, and you can see which members share your taste.

My Reading Shore

Build your bookshelf. Show the world what you love to read.

Every BooksShore member can make a Reading Shore: their own page on BooksShore, at an address of their own such as booksshore.com/shore/your-name. It brings together everything that makes you you as a reader, in a design you choose, to keep for yourself or share with friends.

A virtual bookshelf

Your books stand on real-looking shelves: Reading now and All-time favourites face out with their covers, and the books you've Read and Want to read (your wishlist) line up as colourful spines. Add books from the BooksShore catalogue, from your orders and PDF library, or any book at all by its title and author.

Your reviews and ratings

Give each book on your shelf your own stars, a review in English or Urdu and the date you finished it.

A yearly reading goal

Choose how many books you'll read this year and watch the progress bar fill up as you mark books as read.

Your reading personality

Take the Reading DNA quiz and your reader personality, with its traits, appears on your shore.

Around BooksShore

Show the blog posts you enjoyed, books you reviewed, Spiritual Reads you saved, quotes that spoke to you and polls worth a vote. What you rate and comment on can appear by itself, and you can add or take off anything you like.

Made to look like you

Ten shore themes (Sunrise, Lagoon, Moonlit Bay, Pine Coast, Coral Reef, Sandstone, Lavender Fields, Golden Hour, Glacier and Twilight), seven shelf styles, your reading motto, a few words about you, your favourite genres and a favourite quote.

How to create yours

  1. Sign in, or create a free account.
  2. Open My Reading Shore (My Shore in your account menu, or the banner on the home page).
  3. Choose your shore's address, add a reading motto if you like, and choose who can see it. Then select Create my Reading Shore.
  4. Fill your Bookshelf: search for books, add your own by title, or add books you bought on BooksShore in one tap.
  5. Make it yours in Design & privacy, and set your reading goal.
  6. Use Share my shore to copy your link and send it to friends.

You decide who sees it: everyone, signed-in members only, or only you. You can also hide your wishlist, reviews, goal, Reading DNA or picks. Your poll votes are never shown. Find other readers on Discover Shores.

Shore Finds

Hidden gems, recommended by readers.

On Shore Finds, members recommend the places, food and things they love: the cafe with the perfect reading corner, the karahi worth the drive, the pen or gadget they can't stop talking about. Every find is a card saying why it's worth trying, and finds with a map pin show on a map beside the cards, so you can see what's good near you.

Places, food and products

Recommend a cafe, shop, park or bookshop, food and where to get it, or a product you bought and loved. Add what it's good for, such as reading, family or a date, and a price level.

On the map

Type a place's name and the location search finds it and drops a pin, which you can adjust. The pin is optional. Visitors use Near me and Directions to find it.

Pictures and links

Add a banner picture and a link to the website, the menu or where to buy it, if you like.

Like, save and share

Like the finds you agree with, save them for later, and share any find as a wave. Your own finds and the ones you saved are kept in My Finds.

Shore Discover

Keep scrolling. Every swipe leaves you a little smarter.

Shore Discover is an endless feed of short cards, one per screen like reels, for the moments you'd otherwise lose to scrolling. Each card is something worth knowing: a surprising fact, a real-life mystery, a brain teaser, a funny everyday moment or a 20-second lesson. New cards arrive all day.

Discover

Facts, mysteries, the mind and psychology, history, technology, photos with a story, brain teasers with a hidden answer, and questions to think about.

Interesting Things

A wall of picture tiles: strange places, inventions, unusual human abilities, rare nature, amazing architecture, historical photographs, optical illusions and unexpected facts.

Real sources, free photos

Most cards are written from a real Wikipedia article and link to it, and every photo is a public-domain picture from Wikimedia Commons, credited on the card.

Save and share

Save the cards you love to My Discoveries, share them as a wave or send a card's link to a friend. Every so often, a pause point suggests a good book instead.

Memory Shore

Your special days, on a wall you keep.

Memory Shore gives your family, friends or special day a private wall: a wedding, a birthday, a farewell or a trip. Everyone you invite leaves notes in handwriting-style lettering, with photos if they like, and you save the finished wall as a picture to keep.

Notes, photos and pins

Choose the paper, the handwriting and a sticker. Add your words or a photo, or pin a book, poem, quote, poll or find from BooksShore.

Sealed messages

Write a note that nobody can open until the date you choose, not even the wall's owner.

Private by design

Join with a code or a link. Only people on a wall can see it, and only they can open its photos.

Keep it as a picture

Save the wall in square, story or landscape shape, send it from your phone or share it on Waves. Names stay hidden unless you turn them on.

More than a bookshop

BooksShore is a place to have fun with family and friends, near or far, as well as to shop for books.

Waves

Share a thought, a favourite line, a reading update or a question on Waves, with your buddies, all members or everyone. Pin a book, a poll or a find, tag your buddies, and veil spoilers for readers who haven't finished the book.

My Morning Shore

A five-minute morning edition picked for your interests: tips, explainers and "did you know?" facts, each with one thing to try today, plus a quote and a book for your day.

Play Hub

Live games for the whole family: guess Pakistani dramas, Bollywood films, cricket stars and more from emoji clues in Guess It!, or call your cousins' bluffs in the card game Bluff. Share a code and everyone joins from their own phone. Solo? Try Word Hunt and Quick Quiz and challenge friends to beat your score.

AI Picks

A one-minute Reading DNA quiz reveals your reader personality and the books you'd love, and you can see how compatible you are with your friends. Or describe what you'd like in your own words, in English or Urdu, and Find me a book suggests books that fit.

Greetings Studio

Design free greeting cards for Eid, Ramadan, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and more, then download them or send them as a link on WhatsApp.

BooksShore Buddies

Add readers you know as buddies and chat with them, one to one or in group rooms. Only buddies you accept can message you, and you can switch chat off at any time.

Polls

Vote in polls from BooksShore and fellow readers, see the results by gender and age, and create polls of your own.

Quote of the Day

A new inspiring quote every day to react to, share and talk about with other readers.

Poetry of the Day

A sher from the masters of Urdu poetry and a verse from English literature, every day on Poetry of the Day, ready to share or save as a picture.

Spiritual Reads

Ayahs of the Quran with English and Urdu translations, tafsir and reflections, plus hadith and duas, on Spiritual Reads. Listen to the recitation, and read in night mode.

Community map

See on a world map where BooksShore's readers and members are around the world. No one is ever shown on their own.
